Looking Back at Fête De La Musique 2019

Fête De La Musique, also known as Music Day, is an annual music festival that was originally celebrated in France in 1982 on the day of the Summer Solstice. Nowadays, it’s celebrated around the world in over 120 countries.

Last year on June 29th, Pampanga played host to the world-renowned music festival that featured the country’s most gifted musical acts. They wrecked the stage in front of millions of viewers worldwide and made a lasting impression about our homegrown talents.

This was a groundbreaking moment as it was the first time Fête was brought to Pampanga. And because of the festival’s success, it has opened the doors for setting up smaller stages in the region in the future!

To commemorate last year’s event At The Back MNL has put together a recap video of the Pampanga stage!

Artists from different backgrounds and region who set the Pampanga stage on fire:

Ian Penn (Folk) Headroom (Synthwave)

Mt. Lewis (Blues Pop) Kaymito (Alternative Pop-Bataan)

Turntides (Math Rock) North Side Allegiance (Hiphop-Bataan)

Sentiments of a Phoenix (Math Rock) Chiquerella (Pop Jazz- Bulacan)

PsychoMgmt (Alternative rock) Keane Trinity (Blues Rock-Manila)

Southeast Mob (Hiphop) Dating May (Alternative-Manila)

This was also made possible by the help of Line of Seven, Sullivan’s Irish Pub, Wear Kapampangan, Food Panda PH, and Anchor Bay Gastropub who sponsored this historical event.

Hopefully by next year when this doomsday trial finally ends, we can once again blow the world’s ear holes with our stage.
